Our tool uses your browser's built-in Canvas API to re-encode images at a lower quality setting. All processing happens in your browser -- no data is ever sent to any server. For JPEG and WebP, compression is lossy. For PNG, the tool reduces color depth and removes metadata.

Will I lose image quality?
