HandyTools Hub

About Us

HandyTools Hub is a free collection of online tools for developers, students, and office workers. It started from a simple frustration: every time we needed to format a snippet of JSON, decode a Base64 string, or generate a quick hash, we ended up on sites that were slow, covered in pop-ups, or quietly uploading our data to a server. We believed there was a better way, so we built it ourselves.

What We Offer

The site currently provides 176 tools across categories such as text processing, developer utilities, converters, calculators, image tools, and generators. Each tool is designed to do one thing well: you open the page, enter your input, and get the result instantly. There is no registration, no usage quota, and no feature locked behind a paywall.

Privacy by Design

The defining technical choice behind HandyTools Hub is that our tools run entirely in your browser. When you paste text into a formatter or upload an image to a converter, the processing happens locally on your device using JavaScript. Your input is never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, and never seen by us. This makes the tools both faster (no network round-trip) and fundamentally more private than server-based alternatives.

How We Keep the Lights On

The site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Showing unobtrusive ads allows us to keep every tool free for everyone, without requiring accounts or subscriptions. We deliberately keep the interface clean: the tool always comes first, and ads never block the function you came for.

Quality and Maintenance

Every tool is backed by an automated test suite and is reviewed before release. We are adding practical examples and limitations to our most-used tools so visitors can make better use of them and understand where a tool is not the right fit. We maintain the collection actively — fixing bugs, improving accuracy, and adding new tools based on what users actually search for. If something does not work as expected, or if there is a tool you would like to see added, we genuinely want to hear about it.
